An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has been constituted to handle workplace sexual harassment complaints in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2015 read with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

A person's right to work and live in dignity is violated by sexual harassment. Sree Sankara College, Kilimanoor is dedicated to foster an atmosphere free from sexual harassment in both work and education.

ICC shall take sexual harassment seriously and take prompt action to address the issue. Depending on the type and seriousness of the reported behavior, disciplinary action will be made. The College will protect the privacy and anonymity of individuals who report or are accused of sexual harassment to the fullest degree possible. Special precautions will be taken to guarantee that the harasser, witnesses, and complainants do not experience discrimination or abuse while the investigation is underway. According to the applicable provisions of the previously mentioned UGC Regulations 2015, the complainant may face punishment if the ICC determines that the accusations were malicious or false, or that the complaint was made knowing it was false or that fabricated or misleading information was provided during the investigation.

This policy will apply to all members of Sree Sankara College, including students, teaching faculty, and administrative personnel, both contractual and temporary.
