Economics Profile

The Department of Economics, the first department of the College, was established in the year 2018. Originally, it was a combined department of Economics, History and Political Science. The Department offers a B.A. Degree in Economics with History and Political Science as the complementary papers. The Economics Department offers the core paper.
Presently the department has 2 permanent faculty members and 3 guest faculty.

Academic

The department offers undergraduate degree in Economics. The University of Kerala's Choice Based Credit Semester System forms the basis of the three-year undergrad curriculum. The complementary courses in the programme are Political Science and History.

Eligibility Criteria : A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto. Total marks in Higher Secondary + Marks scored by the candidate for Economics.

How to get admission : Not all of our programs accept students directly. The University of Kerala's Centralized Online Admission System allows students to select their seats. To confirm their seats, the candidates must take part in multiple rounds of the university's allotment process.
